Randall J. "Randy" DeShone
1950 - 2010

Randall J. DeShone beloved husband, father, son and brother passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at his home following a lengthy illness. Age 59 years. The son of Angela (Beelman) DeShone and the late Francis (Bud, Doc) DeShone, Randy was born November 27, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was previously married to Dawn Haufe. Randy married Julie Wise on September 21, 2008. She survives him. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur School in 1969. He then attended Delta College. Randy was employed as a carpenter in the family business, Francis Construction, for many years. He was a member of the Home Builders Association and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Randy enjoyed golf, softball, volleyball but most of all being with family and friends. Surviving besides his wife Julie are two sons and one daughter, Ryan DeShone, Lansing; Caitlin DeShone, Mt. Pleasant; Branden DeShone, Saginaw; Randy’s mother, Angela DeShone, Saginaw; four sisters and one brother, Michele, Becky and Jane DeShone, Kim and Bill O’Brien, Gregory and Mary DeShone, all of Saginaw; a sister-in-law, Rebecca (Jack) Kubica, Frankenmuth; Randy’s father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve and Mary Preslupski, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Francis, and by two brothers and one sister, Ricky, Nanette and David DeShone. Randy’s family extends their special thanks and appreciation to all of his caregivers, especially those from V.N.A./Hospice and Pastor Michael Herner. Honoring Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Larry Gronski will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or V.N.A./Hospice: Partners in Caring.
