Timothy E. Lomas
1951 - 2015

Timothy Eugene Lomas, age 64, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan Dykema; his sons, Michael and Matthew; his father, Eugene; his brothers and sisters, Mary Lievertz, Vincent Lomas, John (Mary) Lomas, Elizabeth Lomas, Thomas (Karen) Lomas, Margaret (James) O'Grady, Peter (Denise) Lomas, Judy (James) Bowen, and their families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances. He was an active member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church where he served with his fellow Knights of Columbus. He was also a Distinguished Toastmaster, an avid reader, and was a longtime soccer official. He received a Master's degree from the University of Michigan in Cardiovascular Pharmacology and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. He worked as an IT professional for more than three decades. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Friday, June 12, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 225 32nd St. SW, Wyoming, MI 49548, with Fr. Steve Cron as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Outreach Fund. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home and Friday prior to the service from 9 - 10 am at the church.
