Russell L. Oyerly

Oyerly, Russell L. (Russ), Thomas Township. Passed away on Monday, September 15, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center Harrison following a brief illness. Age 52 years. Russ was born on December 13, 1950 in Saginaw to Charles W. and the late Mary Lou (Hemmer) Oyerly. He married Myra George on July 7, 1995 in Saginaw. She survives him. Russ was an avid Harley Davidson fan and was a member of the Saginaw Gun Club. He was employed with Saginaw Malleable Iron, retiring after 33 years of service. Surviving besides his wife, Myra are five daughters and one son, Jason Oyerly, Deniece (Phil) Wazny, Melissa Oyerly, Wendy (Gary) Fitzmaurice, Nicole Oyerly and her companion Jerry Ellis, Katherine Oyerly and her fiance Jay Burk; 10 grandchildren, Scott, Phelicia, Troy, Trina, Brittani, Drew, Kayla, Chloe, Hannah and Brenna; one brother, David Oyerly; one sister, Charlotte (Marc) Amaro and several nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his mother. A memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2003 at The Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
