John J. Prezzato
1950 - 2015

Prezzato, John J. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father and brother passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 8, 2015. Age 64 years. The son of the late James and Grace (Grillo) Prezzato, John was born October 16, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Susan Countegan on September 5, 1970. She survives him. John enjoyed golfing, duck hunting with his grandsons, and playing his favorite casino game, poker. He enjoyed mowing lawns and being in the fresh air. His greatest passion was watching the Tigers and Lions (when they were winning) and spending time with family. He celebrated life to the fullest and touched so many with his sense of humor, loud voice and smiles. John had a tender love for everyone he knew. John was in retail sales for many years and retired from Lowes. Surviving besides his wife Susan are three loving and caring daughters, Jennifer (David) Licavoli, Josi (Matt) Ruggles and Angela (Shane) Nickerson; nine grandchildren, John Prezzato, Phillip, Ashleigh, James and Sam Licavoli, David Ruggles, Chealsey (Jeff) Walton, Olyve and Ella Nickerson; two great-granddaughters, Grace Prezzato and Ava Walton. He was everyone's PaPa. Also surviving are a sister, Rose and Steve Gorte, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Linus and Sylvia Countegan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Duane Campau, James and Margaret Countegan, Robert and Cathy Countegan, Carol and Garth Ratti, Mary and Phil Morse; many nieces and nephews; his beloved Chug A Lug Brothers; many extended friends and family; special cousins, Jack Provenzano and Don Prezzato. John was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Grace Rose (Buba), Dominic and James (Tiger) Prezzato and Janice Campau. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church St. Helen site. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate. Honoring Mr. Prezzato's wishes cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
