John F. Sheredy
1951 - 2006

John F. Sheredy, Jr. beloved son, brother and uncle away Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.  Age 55 years. Son of John F. Sheredy, St. and the late Helen (Sural) Sheredy. John was born February 27, 1951 in Saginaw, MI.  John attended St. Thomas Aquinas School and was a graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School. He was employed for many years at Kerns Inc. and recently owned and operated J. S. Billiard Services.  John was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a SAL member of American Legion #439. He was a devoted Detroit Tiger Baseball fan and supported Nouvel Catholic Central High School

Sports teams.  Surviving besides his father, John, are two sisters, Janice Sheredy, Eugene, Oregon; Joyce Sheredy-Bierlein and her husband, Ron, a nephew, Spencer Bierlein, all of Saginaw; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A special thank you to his caregivers, Martha and Pat.

Funeral liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Robert Konopa, O.F.M. will officiate with Rite of Committal in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends my call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd where the family will be present on Friday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
